F-14A Jet Fighter "Tomcat", Nomura, Japan.

Original vintage tin plate/plastic "Tomcat" from Nomura, Japan. The toy is marked with the Nomura trade mark as is the box. Both toy and box are marked "Made in Japan". An impressive toy with complex action. I think this example is probably from to the mid to late 1960's. The box doesn't carry the ST mark (introduced 1971) and it's shown in mid 60's Nomura catalogues. Later versions were made in Korea. 

Mechanism:- Battery operated.

Action:- Complex mechanism, cockpit canopy opens/closes at various points, moves along/stops with flashing lights and engine noise, wings move in and out at set point in cycle. Front wheel can be set for straight or circular path. 

Size:- 13.00 inches long approx.

Condition:- In very good condition. Working order. The box is also in good condition but not perfect. It is complete with internal packing. n.b. there is a damp stain towards the left hand end of the box. Please refer to photographs.
